Introduction

RQ MSWord Search-Replace  is used to search and replace multiple text fragments in many documents by one-click.
Visual presentation of formatted text help to make it easy!
 

Main features of RQ MSWord Search-Replace

• Text replacement can be performed in many documents by "one click"
• You can find and replace multiline text in MS Word documents.
• Search and replacing text patterns stored in two editor windows - for search pattern and replace patterns separately.
  In the Replace editor window you can add formatted text
• Search and replacing text patterns stored in editor windows one per line for single line text.
• You can search and replace using MSWord's options - Pattern matching (Wildcards), Match Case, Whole Words only
• Replace (or not) format of found text, or highlight only
• You can open selected file as Windows registered types
• Creating and restoring backup copies
• You can save and open configurations files (projects)

Quick start

1).Select a folder where required files stored by double-click in folder list or type ( or paste) it manually in the field on the top of main form.
2) Specify file types using the pull-down list.
3) Prepare list of search and replace text patterns - one per line or using Multi-line separators for multi-line text.
You can prepare required formatted text  directly in MS Word and then copy-paste it into replace editor field (on right hand, where formatted text).
Also you can correct text format using Set font menu item.
5) When you are ready to begin the Search & Replace operation... click on the Start button on the right hand side of the screen.
6) If the results, of the Search & Replace operation, are incorrect... select from the Backup menu, one of the Restore options.

Menu

	You can save/restore search and replace session settings using Save Project, Open Project menu option. Settings data stored in the folder Project in files  named *.rqrw and  other data and backup files in the Project\Projectname folder. Next time when you run program - last saved project settings will restored automatically. Save find/replace list menu item used to save Find what.. and Replace with.. editors into the RTF files Rqsr-rGrid.rtf and Rqsr-SGrid.rtf in the Project\ProjectName folder. Find<->Replace menu item used to swap content of Find what.. and Replace with.. editors fields.
	To provide search and replace operations in required file be sure that this file not locked by opened MS Word application. If not - popup warning message appears  In this case save your data and close opened MS Word application manually or click on Terminate MSWord running processes menu item. Be careful! MSWord processes will closed without data saving!
Set font	Standard Set font dialog to change font in the Replace with.. editor field.
Settings	Save session settings to Common.rqrw file, no specific project.
	BackUp menu used to access save backup copies. There are two-level backup - Original files and Last Copies. Original files is your initial files. It saved before any changing into the folder ..\projects\projectName\BackUp\BackUpName\Original When you click on Start button files from current folder will stored as Original files (once) and as  Last Copies  (every time).
